Introducing Reiki: A Holistic approach to Healing, Balance, and Deep Relaxation

Reiki is a light touch technique that improves the flow of energy throughout the body.

This alternative medicine practice supports the body’s natural healing abilities and is incredibly relaxing. 

 

One of its primary benefits is deep relaxation, which can help reduce stress and anxiety, fostering a profound sense of calm and peace. This relaxed state nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.

At Soul and Source Reiki, we practice the traditional Japanese Usui Reiki method, developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. While Usui Reiki is relatively modern, similar healing techniques have been used for thousands of years. Reiki can complement traditional Western medicine or be used independently.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session

In a typical 60-minute Reiki session, clients lie down fully clothed on a treatment table or sit comfortably.

The practitioner places their hands on or near the client's body, holding each position for 3 to 10 minutes.

Sensations such as warmth, tingling, or visual experiences may occur as energy is guided.

Reiki compliments conventional medicine. Used as supportive therapy, reiki is practiced in various settings, including private practices and hospitals worldwide.
